Please check your child’s MMR vaccinations
Following a recent outbreak of measles in London, we strongly advise all parents and carers to ensure children are fully immunised with the MMR vaccine. Measles is highly infectious and can be serious, particularly for babies, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems, with possible complications including ear infections, pneumonia, seizures and, rarely, brain inflammation.
What to do
Please check your child’s Red Book to confirm they’ve had both doses of the MMR vaccine. If you’re unsure of your child’s vaccination status, contact the practice and we’ll be happy to check your records. If you think you or your child may have measles symptoms, please do not attend the practice in person — call us or submit an online consultation instead so we can advise you safely.
